The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies!

These cookies are so good, I just had to share!

Ingredients

Makes twenty-six 5-inch cookies or 8 1/2 dozen 1 1/4-inch cookies.

  • 1 pound unsalted butter
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups packed light-brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups plus 2 tablespoons pastry flour
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 pounds Jacques Torres House (60 percent cocoa) Chocolate or other best-quality semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or nonstick baking mats; set aside.
  2. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Reduce speed to low and add both flours, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, and chocolate; mix until well combined.
  3. Using a 4-ounce scoop for larger cookies or a 1-ounce scoop for smaller cookies, scoop cookie dough onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake until lightly browned, but still soft, about 20 minutes for larger cookies and about 15 minutes for smaller cookies. Cool slightly on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

One of those days!

I has been one of those weeks where you are so busy you miss things right in front of your face, and don't notice them until they come crashing into you! My Boss has been out of town this week, so I was hoping that I could take it easy! No such luck! Hopefully things will calm down next week!

The Biggest Loser. Winner is Ali!

Ali entered the game at 234 lbs. Looking trim, toned and plenty confident, she needed to lose only 105 lbs. to upset Roger -- and she handily passed that benchmark as she weighed in at 122 lbs. In all, she lost 112 lbs., or 47.86% of her body weight.
And there's another number staring back at Ali: She takes home $250,000 for her troubles
I am so excited that a woman finally won the "Biggest Loser" challenge!
Ali looks so amazing! It is really inspiring for all the ladies out there, to know you too can do this! Ali is not anyone special, she just had the willpower and drive to make her dreams a reality! A good lesson for me for sure!

Steep and Cheap

I just found the coolest website! www.steepandcheap.com Every day they have a new item of the day that is at an awesome price! They sell sporting equipment and clothing. Some of the cute things I found were, Mountain Hardwear fleece jacket $45, Native eyewear sunglasses $55 and a Timbuk2 messenger bag $67. I highly recommend taking a peek!
