My reason for Mothers Day.

I don't know what I would do with out this sweet little girl! She means the world to me. I am amazed sometimes when I sit back and think that I am a Mother and I have a daughter. Theses last nine months with Anna have been hard and wonderful. I truly feel bless that she has come into my life. She is my reason for Mothers day!

Thanksgiving

My little sweetie looking extra cute on her first Thanksgiving!
Adam had a little incident while playing racketball with his brother and a friend. He got hit in the eye with a racket, creating this lovely black eye. So much for taking a cute family picture! Dang!
A little Daddy Daughter time. Adam sure loves his little girl!

Happy Halloween

The two party animals. Adam was a vampire and Anna was a princess dragon. I know Anna's costume was a little random, but there is slim pickings on baby costumes. It was either a pumpkin or a dragon. I wanted to feminines it and make her look pretty, so i added the pink bow and pink tutu. Adam and I's costumes were very last minute. The party was at 630pm and I got the costumes at 530pm. I pretty much just got what I could grab. When I brought the vampire cape home Adam told me that he had an extreme fear of vampires as a kid. I thought that was pretty funny since he was now going to be one. At least he got to use his wedding tux a second time!
I was a butterfly, at least I had butterfly wings. I promise to do better next year. I am thinking we should be Snow White (Anna), Cinderella and Prince charming. We will see if it works out.
These two party animals did the cake walk, went through the hunted house and did some trunk or treating.

Everyone wanted to take candy from this cute baby!

All tired out! It was just too much parting for this little dragon.

Never a dull moment!

As soon as we arrived in Glide, we spotted my Dad and Gabe hard at work. They were sawing some decorative arches in some wood for a trellis. My Dad is known for his love of power tool as much as the accidents he gets into with them. I could tell my Mom was a little worried watching my Dad with the power saw. Adam was a good sport to help them finish the job with out any injuries! Yea!

Easter - Other things of note

Other things of note: Papa Leo is doing better! After a ruff 2 months in the hospital in Salt Lake City, UT, he finally made it home to Glide, Oregon. It was nice to see him out of a hospital bed and have some of his spunk back. Papa is not 100% by any stretch, but he is on the slow road to recovery!

I met my 2 year old cousin for the first time! My uncle and aunt adopted little Westin a year and a half ago. He is a cute little guy who is in to everything!

Sariah, Todd and Shawn in Florida

Across the United States, and into our living room. My sis Sariah and her cute family in Florida couldn't make it out to Glide, Oregon, so they came to us via the Internet web cam. Shawn favored up with a few songs on his mini guitar (so cute). Todd is leaving for to do a four month tour in Iraq on the 25th of this month with the air force. Our thoughts and prayers go with him. At least we got to give him a virtual hug before he left! :).

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Medford surprised us with snow on Christmas!
I can't remember the last time I had a white Christmas. Snow just makes everything so much more Christmasie.

The drive back to Portland was eventful. We wanted to leave early in the morning the day after Christmas, but the snow did not allow that. My parents live on a pretty steep hill and after we finally got out of the drive way the road was so ice we had to turn back and wait it out. At around noon we made a second attempt at leaving. I am glad we waited, come to find out the passes that we went over were closed and were just opened when got there.

Sometimes Christmas is dangerious!

My Dad cut himself while trying to open a hard plastic casing a gift was in. the scissors he had on his leatherman sliced right through his finger and sprayed blood on him and my Mom who was sitting next to him.
Going down, Dad is not a big fan of blood! So when he saw a considerable amount coming from his finger he knew he better lay down before he fell down.
After losing feeling in his finger and examining the deep cut we though it was best to make a trip to the ER.
The consensus's was, he may or may not regain feeling in his finger, but he was fine. He got a tetanus shot, had the wound cleaned and was sent home with some antibiotics!
I love that the accident description says opening present on 12/25/2007. This was definitely a Christmas to remember. The moral of the story is, don't get to excited and open your gifts to fast, because someone might end up in the ER.

Merry Christmas
