Cancun Mexico

Snorkeling off a reef. There was so many fish in the reef it was amazing. We even saw a stingray! After snorkeling they took us over to a private beach and the boys played soccer in the sand! Jess and I were very entertained!

We went to an island off the coast of Cancun one day. We rented scooters and drove around the whole island (it was only 5 miles round trip).

The beach front at out hotel!

We went to some beautiful Mayan ruins called Tilum. The setting was amazing. Beautiful stone ruins with the back drop of the Caribbean Sea!

Cancun Vacation

I am so excited to finally go on vacation this year. After a stressful year for both Adam and I we are heading off after Christmas to Cancun, Mexico. We are going with the coolest people ever, Sam and Jessica Cottam. I can’t wait to relax in the sunshine, go explore ancient Mayan ruins and just have fun. Now that we actually purchased the plane tickets I can hardly wait for the relaxing to begin.

Crater Lake

We went to visit Crater Lake about a month ago with Sam and Jessica. I went to Crater Lake once when I was little, and remember being in awe of it. I had the same feeling this time! The water was so blue and clear, it was unbelievable!

Sunriver Horses & Bicycles

Adam & I decided to explore Sunriver Oregon by bike, a bicycle built for two that is. I really like the tandem bike because we were close and could talk the whole time. I know if we got 2 regular bikes Adam would of been way ahead of me the whole time. It was a little tricky to get a hang of at first, there were a few near accidents but we made it alright.

Sunriver is a little resort town 15 minutes out of Bend. I would love to have a family reunion in Sunriver, it had everything. Miles of paved trails, bikes to rent, horses to ride, swimming pools, roller skating, restaurants and even its own observatory to look at stars. Plus it is just beautiful!

Hiking in Bend.

You could see the whole city from Pilot Butte.

Adam & I love hiking, it is the best was to get outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Bend definitely has a lot of beautiful scenery to see.

Drake Park, Bend Oregon

Beautiful Drake Park in Bend.
The flowers were out in full force.

10 Acres in the heart of Bend were set aside for Drake Park. The park was so beautiful!

Detroit Dam

On our way to Bend we stoped by Detroit Dam. It was a small dam but the view was so pretty we had to get a few pictures in.

Musical Weekend in Bend, OR.

View from our Hotel in Bend was amazing! It was like having front row seats to the concert.

We had a fun musical weekend. We went to a concert on Saturday night. Death Cab for Cutie & The Decemberest. The Concert was general admission so we stood up for about 5 hours, squeezed together with 7,000 other people. The Decemberist were my favorite. I would definitely see them again.

The next night we decided to stay in and watch a concert from our hotel balcony. The venue was only about a half mile from where were were so it was like having front row seat, only were went getting wet and pushed around by a crowd. Modest mouse & The Breeders were playing Sunday night.

Dinner and a view

Seaside and Fort Clasup (Lewis & Clarks winter quarters)

More Cannon Beach

Cannon Beach was beautiful on Saturday! There was even a few moments of blue sky!
One of the funniest parts of our trip is when we saw a shop that said "Cannon Beach cookie Co." Adam took one look at the word cookie and literally ran across the street and into the shop. Adam loves cookies so much! It was sad when he ran in the shop to find that they had converted the shop in to a restaurant. Luckily they still had a few cookies on the menu.

Cannon Beach

2 years together and more in love then ever!
I can't believe Adam and I have been married for two years now! How the times fly!
Cannon Beach was the perfect place for a romantic weekend get away!

Travel by Plane

I have always found flying to be an interesting experience. The fact that you can fly some where in an hour in the amount of times it takes someone to drive 14 hours. It almost should not be possible. When ever I get a window seat I stare out the window and think of all the things that are going on below. I think about all of the people that are down there, and how they make things so complicated. From the air everything looks so peaceful and simple. I think this must be how God sees the world.

The waiting game.

My cousin Kate, Sister Rebekah and I.

Uncle Doug, Dad, Aunt Alicia, Granny Bea.

A month ago my Papa had a massive heat attack, while visiting his son in Salt Lake City. During the past month things have not been getting to much better. He has been in the intensive care the whole time except for a few day. We are not sure how things are going to end up. I traveled up to see him in Salt lake City this weekend. Lots of family and friends came out to see him. I got to see aunties, uncles and cousins I have not seen in a very long time. It was nice to be able to catch up with everyone, even under the circumstances. I take great comfort in knowing that if Papa moves on to the next life, this is not the end! I know that I will be with him again, feel his loving arms around and give him a giant squeaker kiss!

We are going to Spain!

Adams Parent have agreed to let us tag along with them on a trip to Spain. If all goes as planned we will be over in the Costa Del Sol (the lower Mediterranean part of Spain) the second week in November. I am so excited I have never been over seas so this will be a whole new experience for me. Lucky we Have a built in translator. I know Adams Spanish was going to come in handy one day!
